Currently based in Chicago, Travis spends most of his time on film projects and music videos, but he also helps clients design, develop, & distribute a variety of other digital content.

In 2005, he founded Crankstrap Productions — a multimedia & video shop. Since then, his work has been covered in Huffington Post, the Chicago Sun-Times, Punk News, Chicagoist, and various art, music, and culture blogs. His first feature-length project, An Evening of Extraordinary Circumstance, was released in June 2012 by legendary punk rock label Fat Wreck Chords and peaked at #20 on’s best-selling music video & concert dvds.

Increasingly interested in how mobile technology blurs traditional lines between artist & audience / producer & consumer / so on & so forth, he’s exploring the convergence of touchscreen devices, non-linear video, social media, and gamification with his second company, digiRunr, which he founded in 2012.

Travis also curates “i miss dead people,” sits on the board of, wrote this bio in third-person, and occasionally experiments with a 25-hour circadian rhythm, which never ends well.

Before getting into entrepreneurship, he earned a degree in Philosophy and in Literature from Colgate University.
